I would suggets that you also forgot to metion a Spanish government that spent more than it earnt, typical Socialist problem. I would also suggest they grasped the Green Nettle precisely because they did not have 300 years worth of coal and gas and enough uranium to power the planet for millenia. I would suggest they thought it was cool and the hip thing to do to harness themselves to this stuff and look where it got em!
