My mother and father arrived in Australia aged about 30 with two suitcases.
As a child, my doctor was a Polish lady who couldn't get her European qualifications recognised in Australia. Her husband was a lawyer, in Poland, who worked as a labourer all his life with the WA water supply.

All these people, and thousands like them, have lived here on the bones of their arse, buying houses and sending their kids to Uni on a pittance.

These people fit the category of "under-achievers" you refer to, just because they earned substantially less than the average wage.

If you go to centrelink or those soup kitchens run by the Salvos, you'll discover that most of those "parasites" are there because of factors ranging from mental illness to a complete lack of anything resembling a normal, family life. What you lack in empathy is matched by your levels of ignorance.

If you can't "get" why a person on 300k should not have a problem losing a few sheckels from a fairer super scheme or not getting welfare for their health insurance, think about it.
