The HSU scandal and the alleged conduct of its officers and former offices is peanuts compared to the massive multi 100 million dollar fraud committed on the average Australia consumer by VISY and Amcor.
Yet no one went to jail and the fines dished out were tiny compared to the money stolen from our nation.
But still when your mate is the PM , your a big donor to the his party and you have extensive media contacts anything can go away and be easily forgotten.
It also took the ACCC over 12 months to institute proceedings and the civil case was only settled in March 2011.
