I think everyone need to read the document carefully before taking anyone's word as gospel.
Dr D Ann is a non executive director. This means she has no day to day role and only attends directors meeting say once a month for 2 hours or so.
Dr Ann was appointed in July 2011. The share price on the day she was appointed was 13 cents. Look at the announcement at ASX.
In nov 2011, she was granted 4,000,000 options ex er useable at 15.5 cents and expiring in around oct 2015. Each option was notionally valued at 7.62 cents as per half yearly ie approx $300,000 worth of rewards.
So what do you think we should be rewarding a non executive director when the share price from their appointment date has gone backwards from 13 cents to 9.4 cents now.
