I'm hoarding cash from my business. Hold a large amount of shares in a junior molybdenum explorer in central QLD that has copped a bad run ($6M in resource drilling for an $8M market capitalization) trading at base value. Best investment this financial year was a quaddie at the flemington races $33,000 from a $52 investment. Spent 2005-2010 pumping my super but have lost all faith in sharemarkets and have seen the most brazen criminal deeds with small resource companies. Short selling is and should be made illegal. So should the borrowing of shares. There good for a capital loss and that's about it.
I was, believe it or not incredibly bullish on property early 2000's but saw such incredible gains that in 2007-2008 i went from bull to bear I think the fake GFC that we didn't get in 2008 followed by the unnecessary emergency level interest rates fueled a frenzy in property buying that pushed the market over the top.
I doubt we'll see 2010 prices for a long, long time in this country.
