    Spot on AKA,

Fundamental analysis and technical analysis definitely needs to be used together. Why? Because neither is an exact science and both are used to make investment decisions within the share market. Yes, TA requires historical data, but fundaments requires hypothesizing. One is forward looking, whilst the other is backward looking. So why not use both? For the fundamentalists, we all assume PLV is worth something when producing. But what is it worth now? If not 20 cents, why isn't it closer to its true value. Some will say risk, others poor liquidity, even more poor management. The problem is the reasons/excuses are unknown. Furthermore, how many of us has got the corporate experience to purchase and produce and iron ore mine? I assuming none. This would mean none has the necessary knowledge to perform a comprehensive analysis required. Yet we invest base don some knowledge. How about other stocks loike WPL, BHP, NCM, etc. Are they operating at true valua or are they close. We rely on experts but they change their tune as the conditions shift. I always say there is a place for both and they are both just as important, especially in regards to stop losses, etc. to minimise the damage.
In the end, it is an individual choice and i do play close attention to Aka, CK regarding TA even though i consider myself in the FA (Not as firmly rooted).
