thecook - sure prices for some things have been growing but inflation overall is extremley low. In fact cost of food is going down thanks to supermarket discounting putting pressure of suppliers to lower costs. Take a look at this link to see for yourself (based on ABS stats)

Inflation in Melbourne is only 1.4% per annum at the moment and yet you still complain!
Also our wages are very high compared to the rest of the world so we can afford to pay more for things, so quit your whining!
