I don't think Oakshott, Windsor and probably Wilkie, are so much "backing" Thomson.
I think they are "backing" themselves by trying to hold on for another 12 months for their own selfish needs and perks.
The so called "Independents" would have to know that their electorates will flush them into the sewer. They are just trying to prolong their own junkets.
