When and where is the next "straight & straight" Mardi Gras? If asked the definition of marriage, wouldn't the majority of adults, and probably all children, say it is the union af a man and woman, not a man and man, nor a woman and woman? So why do G&L want to change the definition of the word marriage? Then the next step would be for the government to re-call every dictionary in the land, and re-issue us one where the the word "marriage" will have no distinction on the sex of the two people, (drop the words man & woman, and insert person & person) If two people of the same sex wish to (sign a bit of paper) to attest to their never ending love and commitment towards eachother, fine go ahead, BUT find another word for it other than "marriage" Getting (lesgayed) could be one alternative, as then it would single them out as being different, which appears to be what they want to be seen as. Now that they are (allowed to have children) the words mother and father shall also need to have their definition changed. A child cannot have (by the true meaning of the words) two fathers, or two mothers, at best they can only have one biological parent that can be called mother or father, therefore they will have to invent another word for their same sex partner.
Has anyone ever seen young kids hugging or kissing eachother. Surely you have, and how many of them were the same sex? Ask the same question in the years to come, and I'm sure that the answer will be different to today! If a child is raised by same sex parents, is this likely to see an increase in the number of gays & lesbians? Are the same sex parents going to encourage their children to be hetrosexual or homosexual?
I am married, and presently everyone assumes that it is to a female, as I am a male, but If we allow people of the sams sex to (get married) will I by definition, have to clarify that I am married to a woman, and not a man?
