Check my post - I was told that 3,000 villagers need to be moved (ie re-housed, like ADU/EVR had to relocate 2200, and that the cost per person is around $10k.

But as I said, I am a novice so just disregard my comments.

One thing I did not say earlier is that at least in Ghana there is massive over-manning in the mining sector, of the order of 5 times what it takes to do something in Oz, again according to what I got told, - the site pictures I have seen indicate there is overmanning. It sort of explains where a lot of NMG's money went. Need to keep the locals happy or you never know what might happen.

And on top of the overmanning, the locals run the equipment without much care so a lot of trucks etc have to be replaced well before their normal use by date.
