A story in yesterdays Aki news, headed "Deputy Prime Minister Dzh Otorbaev advises mining companies......" may inspire a bit of confidence on the Andash ann.
He states, "As soon as you agree with the local community, the government immediately grant permission for the project. For our part we want you to stay to work, but to ignore the opinion of the people we will not. His (I take that to mean, [the people] ) opinion is our priority."
I imagine KGL is in agreeance with the people, so one could imagine that once the people have decided for mining to go ahead, there will be no holdups from government.
