The dust has settled, I am starting to feel better, (the beauty of resiliance) and a colleague has contacted me to raise an interesting point. I wish it was my logic but it is not. The announcement that came did not warrant a trading halt, nowhere near, it barely rated a pre open. The original trading halt announcement inferred an announcement directly about LD not the secondary announcement that we received, this was not inferred until the announcement brought about by the speeding ticket.
What to deduce from this? The theory as put to me is that the announcement we received was not the announcement originally intended and that this has been temporarily delayed and is still to come.
Having gone back and looked at the announcements I believe this theory may hold merit.
