Sally_Will, Majority of the members on this forum are convicted they can beat the market, plus you add Aussie punter streak , and you have very dangerous combination in volatile times. Sally_Will you can call it strange, but GFC 1, my SMFS didn't lost a dollar and I will make sure in coming GFC 2 will do the same and definitely gearing of the portfolio is not one of the means to achieve it.( That's what I mean by craziest advice IMO).Maybe you are right , protecting is not in fashion and that is currently my main financial expectation. Let's have the same conversation in 12 month's time and compare. I heading to Greek islands till our is dollar strong , but ATM is falling against useless currency like euro which surprising even contrarian like me... Cheers
