Pinch myself,am I at work-lol? Sounds very familiar!Although it is expensive it doesn't surprise me. Chemist warehouse is not necessarily the benchmark for pricing. What people forget is that pharmacies are the front for a health PROFESSIONAL! One of the only HP's that have to pay exorbitant retail rents to provide a service that the public NEEDS and the government demands(what are they like in the CBD of PERTH!!!). Warehouse have taken on a supermarket model where numbers count at the expense of mark-up and service. You will not get a personalised time irrelevant experience there. PBS price discosure rules are tightening the screws on pharmacy profitibilty especially as of the 1st April!. Chem. warehouse will be first feel the pinch very soon and word is prices will have to increase. Govt has been focused on cutbacks in this area at the expense of the industry and the quality it has provided for decades. Universities have been greedy and passed many underqualified,(imo), overseas students that has been like a extra stab in the guts. Av. pharmacist wage has decreased last year (by 10%) for the first time EVER! Many on this forum with the exception of Rebel would be unaware of the service a Pharmacist provides, especially to the elderly and more so those that are english challenged (a MASSIVE number of people). I am obviously biased to my own chosen profession but what we have to deal with is getting beyond realism. What is relevant is that the days of personalised recommendation are disappearing, more DR appoints will be necessary (costing you and me millions) as most people will not be able to get advice from the most accesible health professional to the public. Above that the other night I had an aboriginal couple in the shop with the male chasing the female around the shop as the male wanted to beat the lady, she begged for me to call police! Sunday I had a morphine addict on a daily pick-up of meds refusing to leave without getting extra tabs cause he couldn't come in next morning!Reckon it's hard to see a DR try ringing one when essential. Outside of the 6hr day three and a half days a week 9 mths a year outside Europe. Why am I a pharmacist of 17 years working Sundays and nights? Because of places like warehouse, which in turn I'm sure has prompted the govt to devalue the profession and its role to the point where the public query product prices over 10% mark-up! Wonder what other retail industries have as mark-ups? Govt wouldn't know because they don't have disclosure rules and rely on retails factors to dictate demand. I would leave this SHITHOUSE industry in a heartbeat if I could afford to take 1 year off to train myself up an establish myself in another area. Many very qualified, experienced pharmacists are. I see very bad things for the industry in ten years, going from one of the the most trusted, in opinion polls to one of the most hated.

I have kept my price of Termalife down to $24.95 a bargain really considering the amount of time I have spent talking to people about the product and their condition and the time spent educating my staff and making calls chasing stock, let alone delivering it from one store to another.

Thanks for endulging a Tue night meltdown-lol,it's great to have a forum where I can vent, saves $180/hr psychologist fees but above all I would really like to see the product do well and allow the company to expand their range and standing in the bio space.
