The original figure of companies effected, according to the Government, was 1000. The Government later cut that to 500.
In reality they have identified around 180 with a further 80 classified as likely.
The question you have to ask is the budget figures on how much they would receive was predicated on around 500 companies paying the tax. Now we have a figure much lower does the tax intake drop or will the brave 180 pay more?
