If we are going to talk theories - heres mine and why I sold my parcel. China is currently in a massive scaling down of manufacturing as customers capacity to pay reduces, and slowdown in government sponsored infrastructure development.
There is stockpiles of resources building and less 'internal customers' within China to buy them (due to the slowdowns above) - we are seeing this in the defaults/contract breaches of importers on shipped ore currently in transit.
Whilst it is my belief that this is a temporary phenomenon and that commodities is where to store one's wealth in the future, it makes sense for Hanlong to delay the deal for as long as they can till the demand starts picking up again. I'll be looking to get back into SDL later this year. Of course, I hope I dont get suprised by an upside move or the deal finalised.
