Even though I lament Australia's lost opportunities to mature & diversify as a nation during John Howard's time in Office, I am the first to acknowledge that he is heads & shoulders above Tony Abbott as a leader.

You appear to have forgotten that during the Keating - Howard eras that debates were essentialy fiercely over policy matters & that Question Time was never used to just constantly repeat the same tired, insulting attempts to suspend standing orders.

You're welcome to remain a loyal subject of the UK but I wish to assert our maturity as a sovereign nation.

I am sick of indirectly electing a leader only to see them removed from office by their colleagues. I am appalled at the immense waste caused by government duplication, lack of cooperation & even direct competition. How anyone can be comfortable with the confusion between the role of our judiciary, the Queen & our Parliament escapes me.
