I think Bank Cheques can be cancelled as I lost one once and rang the bank and they cancelled it straight away.
I only accept cash or direct transfers and always check the transfer by logging into my own account not by a receipt attached to an email.
Lately I have been even paying for large ticket items by bank transfers in front of the person selling and have had no problems with this either have they.
