    Great story...lol

    ---------------------------

I only use PayPal as a buyer. I prefer it so I can pay with my credit card and have recourse if there's an issue with the seller.

I have to admit I recently decided to sell some expensive bullion on eBay, successfully. The buyer deposited funds straight away. I had spoken to him prior to completing the transaction.

Now that I'm aware of the tricks people use I would only do large amounts by direct deposit transfers into my account.

The item was sent with Aust Post Platinum Express with tracking. It was a risk the buyer took because coins and bullion are not insurable with Aust Post. I assume PayPal would wipe its hands also if it's lost or stolen in transit.

    Buyers and sellers beware!
