You would think by Monday they will be well into the upper laurel formation if it sits at a similar depth to Valhalla North-1. I wouldn't think the formation depths would vary too much. As per our last update we were at 1,876 metres depth. Not long until we find out what we have. Less than 200k on the sell but this can change quickly. A couple of updates from previous drilling below.

"Valhalla North-1


Since the last progress report, Valhalla North-1 has been drilled ahead in 12¼” hole to the intermediate casing point at a measured depth of 2,039m and wireline logs have been acquired. As at 06:00hrs today, the well was being prepared for the running of the 9?” intermediate casing.

Minor gas shows up to 24 units were noted in the Reeves and Anderson Formations.

On completion of the casing run the well will be drilled ahead in 8½” hole to the first objective, the Upper Laurel Formation.

Valhalla North-1


Since the last progress report, Valhalla North-1 has been drilled ahead in 8½” hole to a measured depth at 06:00hrs of 2,953 metres.

After drilling out the 9?” casing shoe at 2,035 metres measured depth, background gas increased to some 10 units with peaks up to 500 units through the Upper Laurel Clastic section. The Upper Laurel Carbonate section was encountered at approximately 2,585 metres measured depth with continued high background gas and gas peaks. Below 2,829 metres background gas has increased to over 400 units with gas peaks in excess of 4,000 units. The mud weight has now been increased in response to these gas influxes.

These gas indications are similar to those encountered in the Valhalla-2 well."
