I totally agree jukie. While not liking many aspects of Malaysian politics I have an admiration for how the Malays have handled the PR and media in recent weeks around the Lynas issue. This is in stark comparison to Lynas mishandling over a long period of improving public opinion and allaying fears.

The setting up of the PSC, the symposium and outside experts, getting medical and local scientists to say positive things and now this. I think/hope that this is one of the final bits of the puzzle - play up this waste site as the disposal was always the weak link in the project (regardless of how necessary it will be in reality. A week or 2 later PSC due to report back, lots of positive publicity - either as a followup to TOL issueance or a precursor.
