Kevin Rudd would face huge challenges if he was re-installed. Not least of which is what has become an ineffectual, badly tarnished & fractured union movement united only by the self-serving interests of its leadership.
Rudd's chances of winning would be further weighed down by the treacherous internal attacks he faced - the likes of Simon Crean & Julia Gillard would have to be purged prior to the election.
Rudd would also have to get the Indis onside - perhaps even Bob Katter.
But he would have three major factors in his favour; his ability to make a connection with the mainstream, the actual impact of reforms such as the MRRT demonstrating LNP misrepresetation of them & the ease with which Tony Abbott turns people off.
