Formguide your job is NOT an investment - it is just a job. You may have invested in yourself through education etc to get that job and that in itself is a good achievement. That said anyone can work for someone else to make money but a job by itself will not make your rich in the vast majority of cases.
Personally I prefer to invest in myself and have a good job now so that I can invest in property, stocks and other investments so that in a few years I can work for myself and not anyone else. Investments are about achieving financial freedom and being able to do more of the things you want to do in life.
