the kevie comeback, page-37

The latest machinations, with rumours of a Rudd comeback almost beggars belief. I can understand that his main ambition is to exact revenge on Gillard, Swan and their cronies, but you would have to wonder what the end game is. Is it to be remembered in the history books as being the PM who led the government to the biggest recorded defeat? It's hard to see any other result. Changing the captain won't change the course of the ship of state.

So, why would Rudd want the job back - other than revenge and a narcissistic streak?

What would/could he do to conjure the numbers with Thomson and Slipper acting like anchors?

How could he possibly sell an unsellable tax?

It matters not who they put in; the game is over red rover and an incoming Abbott government will have an enormous task scrapping the deadwood policies from the CO2 tax, the NBN, getting industrial relations on an even keel again, breaking the power of the unions and returning the country to the kind of prosperity and confidence we enjoyed before "Conservative" Kevin 07 rode into town.

Good days are not far away - meantime I'll keep my popcorn and twisties nearby as I enjoy the slapstick capers that passes for government.
