    Good on ya' ceb. I gave you a tu, but you must have downed yourself after this posting.

    Germany's move to renewable energy is a lot more complicated than most here would portray. They will be on track to replace 140 terawatt-hours with nearly that much green power soon. (http://www.nature.com/news/2011/110603/full/news.2011.348.html)

    This furphy that Germany will buy energy from France in place of the shut down nuclear plants is just plain wrong. Look at a map. Germany buys energy from the Czech Republic and Poland and if anybody cares to read the following link, France was a net importer of energy from Germany as recent as 2010.



    Really the point here is that many other countries will be watching developments here and most likely the outcome will be that green energy is going to put a dent in the nuclear energy alternative despite all the enthusiasm to the contrary.
