val,
Are you able to confirm the depth of the mineable seams from company released info?
Not entirely sure what you asking here but if you asking whether Linc has released reports saying the depth to subcrop is 130m, yes, here:
http://www.lincenergy.com/data/EIS_Further_Info/Teresa_Coal_IAS-Final%20_271011.pdf
Those reports you mentioned (thanks for those by the way, saved me a lot of trouble) have maps suggesting 130m sub-crop is about right too.
30600 says coal rank is only 0.5-0.6 which is much lower than I was expecting there and a bit of a surprise. Overall coal quality in that report appears to be a high grade thermal coal but the ASX report you linked to shows CSN of up to 4.5 which is coking grade.
Ash looks a little high for PCI, as does sulphur, but those are raw figures, would have to see what the washed results are.
Assuming a met grade product can be produced from the Corvus II seam by longwall, it seems pretty reasonable to me. I'm not an expert on coal mine economics but it seems much better than anything in the Galilee given its location. It would probably need met coal prices to make it work so it all comes down to whether a met product can be produced.
Would be interested to see a PFS with operating costs and product split.
