6.4% of homes are now worth less. Staggering!
If I was part of that statistic I would be quite worried and upset that I fell for the deceitful 7% yoy growth I was promised.
I think we need to delve a little deeper and understand what percentage that 6.4% would equal if the report was based on a house bought in the last two years.
I suspect the figure is more like 75% of houses purchased in the last two years are in fact worth less.
Creative reporting is the culprit here and the usual suspects have fallen for it.
