Gee, looks like Lynas is in real trouble now. The cyclists are against us.
Somebody needs to tell these people that cycling from Johor to Kuantan poses a far greater danger to them than the LAMP does.

Himpunan Hijau is extremely excited about the impending visit to Kuantan by a group of cyclists from Johor who called themselves the ‘Lynas Busters’!

The Lynas Busters group of cyclists will cycle all the way from Johor Bahru to Kuantan to lend support to the struggle of the people of Kuantan to kick Lynas out of Malaysia! Their actions reflect that the anti-Lynas sentiment has spread like wildfire across the nation. The grassroot community is now empowered to take action to safeguard the environment and the well being of our future generation.

The initiators of this event, namely the Johor Yellow Flame, Millipede Bikers Team and Footprint Bicycle Team, and their family members have met with the Himpunan Hijau steering committee on 27th May 2012 in Kuantan to coordinate this event.

The Lynas Busters kicked off from Johor Bahru, 6.30am on 31st May 2012. Their pilgrimage for environmental justice will take them through Endau-Pekan-Kuantan.

The Himpunan Hijau steering committee, led by Clement Chin, steering committee member for protocol, will be receiving the group who is scheduled to arrive in Teluk Chempedak, Kuantan at 10.30am, 3rd June 2012.

Himpunan Hijau is calling upon all local anti-Lynas supporters to stand with us to welcome and express our gratitude to this group of committed cyclists for their dedication towards our struggle.

This group has also expressed their strong commitment to support the Himpunan Hijau ‘Occupy Balok-Gebeng 24 Hours’ event on 23rd and 24th June 2012.
