The Fed will certainly try all they can to fight deflation, just like they did during the 1930s. But the degree and the extent of debt deflation we're now facing is far greater than then.
So first deflation, likely to last for several years, then we can see the inflationary effects of central bankers (ironically when everyone is finally convinced that deflation is here to stay).
