What's going on it's all psychological warfare by the shorters. It's all intimidation efforts by them. They know that many retail investors are buying when the SP is going UP and selling when its going down. Its opposite to common sense trading logic but it is according to greed and fear logic. Even if they don't know anything, by selling they create the impression they know something and entice others to sell too.
But i'm sure you know this already.
