The company has stated that the integrity of the EXISTING casing could be compromised IF they were to drill out the plug.
Well construction takes into consideration protection of aquifers. The well casing prevents cave-ins and also isolates any aquifers from the well bore.

Why?, geeez, are they stupid or what. To protect the integrity of the existing well. Now they're concerned because ROG are trying to protect the environment????
It's a shame these uneducated fruit cakes can't comprehend what they have actually read. Bout time we locked up "lock the gate" activists IMO. Surely society would be safer without minds of this nature roaming free.
Glad it was published though, shows their ignorance and stupidity. Their comment didn't deserve a response.
