This is said in the Executive Summary:

"The consultation meetings sought to ensure that as many providers and users of reserves and resources information as possible had the opportunity to contribute to the consultation."

...yet only got 122 written responses...that is somewhere around the number of listed oil and gas companies. So how widely do you think the ASX sought to consult ordinary investors in the O and G market? No doubt it contacted all the O and G cos. but did it seek to access their share registers for mailing to investors or get the companies to make an announcement? I'll be looking into this further.

I have never had a high regard for the ASXs stewardship of the market. I think it should be taken completely out of their hands and the responsibility given to ASIC.
