    I have asked a couple of questions already & i thought there may have been a response, I guess you chose not to as they are facts and you would be caught out, I am a licensed engineer on the 777 & 747 so I reckon I would have a pretty clear picture of the two. I cannot fathom your suggestion re the 777. Qantas management chose not to buy the 777, they went down the 330 & 380 path against the advise from senior flight ops & engineers.so they did spend a lot of money on A/C, they just chose the wrong ones.
    Just yesterday an a380 was fuelled for HKG 130 tonnes for 350 pax, the 777 fuel load would be approx 90 tonne for 330 pax. The biggest cost of Qantas is fuel & here we have an extra 40 tonne each way for an extra 20 pax. This happens daily not just to HKG but also to SIN,LAX. The Unions are to blame for this mess too hey! I don't blame you for your views (unless you work @ Qantas in management) as most people get their info & opinions from the press. I'll give you e.g. of how this works. QF corporate send out a 'fact' sheet to the press who pretty much regurgitate it verbatim. I hope your views would become more balanced if you had a clearer idea of some of the monumental costs associated with this airline due to managements stuff ups. Any sensible Q's from you and i would gladly try and answer. I love my Job,my workmates & have had some great managers in the past, I have done everything our managers have asked of me to help turn a profit, unfortunately I feel like i'm swimming against the tide due to the large stuff ups from the top! I am really proud of the history of Qantas and what it means to Australians. It feels like this company is being set up to fail so a greedy few will win
