I still think this Perth Basin has been under estimated, especially the large land holding KEY have in close proximity with NWE. Punters have placed very little value if any at all on KEY average in The Perth Basin.


KEY's place in the Perth Basin is discounted as the last two wells were dusters and iirc the northern part of the basin is not that prospective. Although I am sure I read somewhere that EP437 is a good area for unconventional hydrocarbons. I might have to do a search and try and find out more on it.

As for the newest addition to the board, it sounds like we'll have a lot of resolutions to vote on at the AGM. Ian Paton's former links with NSE and Conoco could be interesting. He at least is very familiar with the Canning.

Mr. Ian Mark Paton, BSc (Hons), M Pet Eng, MBA serves as Subsurface Manager of PTTEP Australasia Pty Limited (formerly Coogee Resources Pty Ltd.). Mr. Paton serves as Principal Geo-scientist at Clean Energy Australia Pty Ltd. Mr. Paton has spent over 30 years in petroleum development and exploration beginning his career as a geophysicist with BHP. Mr. Paton joined Santos Ltd as Development and Exploration Manager in 1980. Mr. Paton is a specialist geophysicist with extensive experience in petroleum field exploration and development. He began his career with BHP in 1976 as a geophysicist and worked in senior exploration and development roles in SANTOS from 1980 to 1990, CONOCO from 1991 to 1996 and as an independent consultant since 1997. Mr. Paton worked in the US as Technical Manager of with Conoco in 1990 where he ran all operations in Australia and PNG as well as holding the role of exploration and returned to Australia to become the Technical Director of Amity Oil. He has been working as an International Petroleum Consultant specialising in Engineering and Geoscience since 2000. Mr. Paton joined Coogee Resources in 2005. He served as Non-Executive Chairman at New Standard Energy Ltd. from July 1, 2009 to May 1, 2011 and has been its Non Executive Director since July 28, 2008. He holds an M Pet Eng from Houston University. He holds a degrees in geophysics (BSc-hons) and petroleum engineering (MPet Eng).
