I can understand why you would want the media more involved, but I would imagine a negative outcome for LYC would bring a flood of highly critcal evaluations by western media about investing in Malaysia, which would be counterproductive to the Malaysian policy of encouraging investment. If the politician involved was Australian then a media interview with say the New York Times would give most of them a hard on. I would imagine a Malay politician on an issue that involves a domestic issue would not be as encouraging. My personal opinion is that the issue will be resolved to LYC's satisfaction but with more hoops to go through and which will help to douse the misinformed locals. There is no need to embarass Malaysia unless your happy to lose a lot of your money. Just have patience and wait.
