Should the applicant nevertheless regard some particular matter as patentable, an independent claim should be filed taking account of Rule 43(1) EPC. The applicant should also indicate the difference of the subject-matter of the new claim vis-a-vis the start of the art and the significance thereof.

From what I can gather, the examiners are still hung up on one patent, though on the 3/4/12, the examiner had cited 4 as obstacles. The dates for amending are interesting, after the lapse notice on the 4/10/11.
