db,yes the two comments you mentioned are the comments i was referring to.Webzone also feels qantas would be nuts to order the 777 now and that sandilands should not be taken seriously.The original article was dated jan 2012,my only comment,the 787 recently flew to australia with a passenger fit out,not full of instruments like first flight,surely it had the new engines.So if that was the case it would be nice to read some performance statistics.My last comment,if the 787 is under performing to a degree it wont be competitive with the 777 then qantas would be "nuts" not to cancel the 787 ,receive compensation or try for priority delivery on 777's.
