    A recurrent theme of those opposed to CP is the question, "what happens if CP decides to dud us and strip the company?" etc.

    Firstly I don't see JH going along with that, whatever you might think of him or his management ability.

    Secondly, if CP does decide to throw his weight around (metaphorically speaking) to the detriment of SH, there is nothing to prevent us from banding together and requisitioning an EGM to remove his nominees from the board.

    Thirdly, CP has made it plain in his statements to the media that he has no such plans. JH has also stated that he does not believe that CP is intending to act contrary to the interests of SH.

    Fourthly, which ever way you slice it, the future board of CTP will either be made up of CP nominees who may be perceived to not be independent plus JH, or RC and his nominees who are obviously like minded and can be expected to vote as a bloc.

    I see potential downsides to both camps, but weighing the alternatives, I think that CP brings a lot more to the table than RC, and at a lower cost to SH, who will be stumping up a premium renumeration package for RC.
