It is more likely that CP wants to remove something from the table.
The alternative candidate may be cheaper, but price you have to pay for incompetency is always very much higher.
In the overall scheme of things, the remuneration is insignificant. The package is less than the cost of drilling one well. Just consider it as drilling one duster a year. And how many dusters have CTP drilled todate?
