Excellent discussion of the competition. I agree with Indi and also think Bernard is spot on re: Panasonic.
It's a classic move by the Japanese to progress their own product further down the learning curve faster.
Our trump card, as mentioned, is higher electrical efficiency. However, the real loss is the loss of the japanese market, rendering us unable to take advantage of Japan's move away from nuclear.
