PRODUCTION UPDATE
Integra Mining Limited (ASX:IGR) advises that production at its Randalls Gold plant is expected to be halted for approximately four days while mechanical repairs are undertaken at the processing plant.
The move follows mechanical problems experienced with the tertiary crusher on Sunday.
New components are now being installed and crushing and production is expected to resume on Wednesday.
Integra has recently installed a new crushing circuit product screens unit, which has been operating well.
As was expected, the more efficient screens unit has reduced the power draw of the tertiary crusher from
550-600 amps previously to 450-500 amps, indicating that the tertiary crusher is under less load than previously.
This is primarily due to a reduction in the recirculating load of crushed fines, a greater proportion of which
are now passing through to the grinding circuit.
It is unclear as to whether the tertiary crusher suffered some damage prior to the successful installation of
the new product screens, causing the current mechanical failure.
Technical personnel from the Australian agents for the crushing units are in-transit to site and, along with
other independent experts, will be involved in determining specific actions to mitigate the potential for further crusher failures.
In July, as previously advised to the market, a number of additional crushing circuit modifications are planned which are likely to reduce the risk of further mechanical failures.
This shutdown will impact Integra’s previous production guidance of 16,000 ounces for the June Quarter, the magnitude of which will be advised once production resumes.
