Agreed manipulation is rampant with DTE, as with many others. They are jsut taking advantage of shocking market conditions. As soon as they get close to making a buck the the shorters will have to cover or get burnt, which makes current prices a possible opportunity. With the current uncertainty is best to wait things out for a while as it may get cheaper. Not much relief to those who bought in higher as is the case with most current holders.

Read a book a while ago by Joel Greenblatt (who also features in Hedge Fund Wizards, the latest in the Market Wizards series) called "You can be a stock market genius". Corny name but good info. One of his favourite special situations in this book are spinoffs with good management jumping ship from the parent company to run it, well incentivised for it to succeed. These spinoffs frequently get sold down to stupid prices as parent company holders, who got their shares for free are easily shaken out or have no interest in it and sell it down to stupid prices, providing an opportunity before it turns around. Worth a read and was part of the reason I bought into DTE, as it fits the bill well. Got in a bit early as it turns out.

    Anyway good luck all.

I love the smell of burnt shorter in the morning.
