Correct me if I'm wrong Oyster but the Fairfax broadsheets outsell the Murdoch broadsheet (the Aus) by a fair margin don't they? So if the public don't want the them what does that say about the Aus? News don't care about how much money the Aus loses because Rupert feels it gives him political influence. If it was an independent newspaper the Australian would have closed down years ago. Now I don't mind that the Aus exists and publishes what it wants but I want an alternative point of view in the media. And without an independent Fairfax there is none.
