re: Ann: Metcash disputes amended FTC Determi... Yeah I feel a bit more optimistic after reading that too. In fact if this ann is right MTS will surprise me to the upside:
"Metcash... expects underlying earnings per share growth for the year to 30 April 2013 to be broadly in line with FY2012."
From the last full year reports underlying EPS was up 4.4% which puts it firmly in mid-single digit growth. EPS including one-offs was up 6.1%.
I was expecting low single digit (2-3%) so I will be very happy with anything over 4% and a stable div.
Particularly now that the interest rates on my cash investments are down due to the RBA's rate cuts. Metcash's div yield is starting to look pretty good.
