You can look at it another way. Add up all your assets divide by how many years you have left. Equals how much you can spend. Big problem is how long you going to live. I figure if I get to eighty I will be a blob in a nursing home with no idea of what money is anyway. Also assumes you leave nothing to kids etc. Remember the speculators motto. The last cheque you write for your funeral should bounce.
