I think it needs to be mentioned as well, that these funds dont just go all out shorting and then switch and go long for a term.
There hedging and shorting here and going long over there.
So while it may be our turn now to get shorted when the SP soars it isnt because they have stopped shorting but because there now going long. You cant have one without the other.
