It's not that clear ZT as other factors might have been involved, but I agree the pacific solution deserves another chance.
And in fact both major parties currently favour a Pacific solution but have different ideas about how and where it should operate.
Abbot and Gillard both need to reach a compromise about this but both prefer to play politics than act in Australia's and the refugees best interests.
Compromise and co-operate is not in eithers vocabulary.
Neither deserve to lead the country.
