So Santos definitely a possible JV suitor... contrary to your opinion.
Perhaps you should call Gus and point out the difference between North and East... close and not close... one of you has made an error. More inclined to believe a ASX Company Chairman ...
...anyway back to the discussion JV would be the easiest course of action IMHO and QPN may be able to strike a deal with the driller for an equity stake who knows... Stranger things have happened.
Also I have seen stocks rise strongly on news of Cap raise and never revisit the Raise price.
If the market turns upwards over the next week with any momentum it -WILL- drag up QPN to a higher price IMHO. QPN has steadfastly resisted the temptation to fall below 0.005c even when the crisis reached fever pitch Shareholders appear to be a resiliant bunch.. and give the story fair enough. ...
And those wishing to enter at a lower price (post finance secured) -may- be caught out in the cold... I think there is a risk to taking a position as there is a risk to not taking one... Just depend which side of the fence you decide to camp... or in my case ...both sides.
