"The shell game (as you call it) has been going on for forty years. Some of us like playing it. Many more need to be able to play it to do business. What precisely will cause it to go away? "

Just have a look around, have a bit of reflection, what have we seen in the last few years? The ongoing crisis, the never ending crack-up then crash-down markets everywhere, the repeated failures to save the system, the laughable "green shoots" that turned brown/dead, "problem contained" becoming uncontainable, the "isolated problems" spreading everywhere, etc etc. All these, I ask you, are they not the symptoms of a terminally sick/ill system at the end of its timeline?

Try as they may, but the system is dying, very fast. That is why the shell game can not, and will not continue.
