I think the Lynas Email response to Jukie is all wet! Let’s review the announcement of the Thursday AELB notice:

Thus, this is a PRESS BRIEFING, defined as “ an announcement distributed to members of the press in order to supplement or replace an oral presentation”.

This gathering doesn’t appear to simply be, “..... the AELB's ROUTINE WEEKLY PRESS CONFERENCE DAY” as asserted in the Lynas Email reply to Jukie. I guess I wasn’t aware that there were such weekly conference days! And, as some of you have pointed out, this pop up notice of the press briefing on the AELB website indicates it will deal specifically with Lynas. That doesn’t sound like just another ol standard, “weekly press conference” to me. Do they announce all their standard ol press conferences with such prominent notices?

We can’t know for sure what this PRESS BRIEFING will be about but it seems inconsistent to merely for them to say that they have received the submissions from Lynas and they expect to make a decision by such and such a date. THEY WOULD HAVE DONE THAT LAST WEEK at that “routine weekly press conference day”.

My hunch is that on Thursday the AELB will announce that Lynas has satisfied the two new conditions. TOL, come to daddy!
